The Slooow Ride

The Sacramento Sheriff’s Motor Deputies will host and manage the slow ride competition. This competition is designed to test your ability to ride your motorcycle for 21 feet as slow as possible without putting down your feet or striking cones to your left or right. The rider with the slowest time wins the first prize award. Second and third place prizes will be awarded.

Rules

  1. Each rider competing will pay an initial entry fee of $15.00.
  2. If any rider wants to attempt to better their time they may make further attempts at a cost of $5.00 per run.
  3. Competition is open to motorcycles with 750cc displacement or 53 cubic inches displacement minimum.
  4. The rider’s time will start when the front tire of the motorcycle breaks the plane of the first two cones at the beginning of the pattern. (The riders feet must be off the ground)
  5. The slow ride event will use electronic timers set at the beginning and end of the pattern to calculate the rider’s time. A stop watch may be used in the event the electronic time goes down.
  6. Any rider who puts his/her foot down while within the pattern will be disqualified.
  7. Any rider, who hits a cone or rides out of the pattern prior to using the designated exit, will be disqualified.
  8. The rider’s time will end when the front tire crosses the plane of the timing device after the last cone of the pattern.

Any disputes or disagreements related to this event will be resolved by event managers. The Event Manager’s decision is final!
